The Wawrik Lab The lab is located in George Lynn Cross Hall (GLCH) on the University of Oklahoma's main Campus in Norman Oklahoma. The main lab is on the 7th floor of GLCH, overlooking the north-side of campus. Approximately 1,100 sqft of laboratory space contains all the necessary gadgets needed for molecular research, including incubators, refrigerator/freezers, balances, Nanodrop, q-Bit, pH meter, anaerobic glovebox, electrophoresis units (agarose, acrylamide, and pulse field), thermocyclers, a quantitative PCR machine, a gel imaging system, anaerobic degassing station, centrifuges, chemical fume hood, and walk-in incubators. Other available analytical equipment includes gas analyzers, GC, GC-MS, LC, IC, and imaging systems. 454 pyrosequencing capability, bioinformatics support, and supercomputing capability are available in-house through the Advanced Center for Genome Technology. |
