Various projects in my lab are examining the microbial ecology of hydrocarbon-impacted systems and attempt to answer the following questions:
1) Who is there? (via 454-sequencing, metagenomics)
2) What are they doing? (via metabolite profiling)
3) Are they doing it now? (via RT-qPCR)
